Conductor
Named a Classic FM 2026 Rising Star, Michal Oren is an Israeli conductor whose work is shaped by a deep sense of narrative and musical imagination. She is the current Calleva Assistant Conductor of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (2026–27).
Michal won 1st prize at the 6th Evgeny Svetlanov International Conducting Competition, by unanimous decision of the jury. She was also awarded the Orchestra Prize, voted by the musicians of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, and will return to conduct the CBSO in the 2027/28 season.
Michal is the founder and musical curator of the Museum Orchestra of the Petach Tikva Museum of Art, which gives musical interpretations of visual art exhibits.
